final day in a studio-space where’s i’ve worked for the past few years. it’s going to be an interesting transition, but what is it all about if not shifts both large and small. the day-job too is not without broad strokes.
less manhattan and train-riding. less time wandering the midtown streets in search of lunch. less kinokuniya afternoons, main library branch free exhibitions, bryant park lounging & enjoyment, and less times square being so close you can smell the cultural infringement on the disneyfication of america.
it’s not all about lesses though. there are more opportunities to ride my bike to work, more chances to discover gems around downtown brooklyn, more movies and shows at BAM, more summer nights in closer proximity to habana outpost, fort greene park, atlantic center gowanus up & coming, cobble hill treats, farmacy egg creams, dumbo park walks, falafels from sahadi’s, and an altogether different stride explored.
the change is at your door, and you’re not stepping away from life, you’re walking forward into the thick of it.
i hope to find something as worthy of my time as the good people and great things i’ve seen in these past few. see you soon.
