i've slept with the windows wide open for the past few months. fresh air, circulation, and a sense of inviting nature inside your domicile.
the air is cooled and crisp now. the hairs on my arms and body raise and the skin goosebumps. i close my eyes as i am falling asleep, and imagine whorls and patterns of the breeze flowing through the room, over my belongings, and back out through all manner of crevices.
simple pleasures, simple thought trains. we lead ourselves through the day, breaking down mysteries into manageable pieces, until at last, an understanding is reached. a level of such satisfaction lulls me to sleep and wakes me in the morning, full with the promise of newborn questions.
laughter and fits of glee. sweet snacks throughout.
