we danced along the shorelines with the sun scorching our flesh. the salt spray of the frigid atlantic misting over our bodies like a thousand beloved kisses. somewhere therein lay a most beautiful balance.
before the undertow formed, i went swimming in the water. i float on my back while my arms and hands scuttled in fluttered rotations. with my ears below the surface, i could hear the endless waves washing and mixing, bobbling and gushing.
when the sun began to wane, we lay out on the sand; the beach still retaining the heat energy of the day's exposure. nothing at all the matter, and everything for one day became a treasured memory.
