people are just weird. it’s that easy and that complex. we have issues, quirks, lows, eccentricities, facial tics, loves in our hearts.
it’s increasingly less easy to be yourself in the face of social media everything. we gram our breakfasts, twitter our inane thoughts, tumblr our feelings, and FB our relationships in whatever flavor those are at any given time.
it’s a mess, it’s a jumble, and how can we not slip and stumble?
just know that there are all these other weirdos out in the world doing similarly strange things, photographing crazy stuff at oblong angles, and at times stating too much to the wrong people.
why even try to wrap your head around it, when we get lost in the fray and therein lies the beauty of discovery. it’s in what you make of it where it’ll all come together.

still valid and unyielding, they outstretched their long wispy fingers upward. the recent and wave-like rounds of snowfall did little to dissuade their tenacity.
clutching, grasping, and clinging to the surface exterior of the rocky outcropping, you could imagine what sacrifices they had to make to get there so high, and before the spring still many days away.
looking around at the menial yet noteworthy accomplishment, they all relaxed for a brief moment and thought,” so this is where we begin.”

 note to self:
if you show up to a freelance gig in harlem super on time, on the correct day…but ONE MONTH TOO EARLY ( ! ! ! ), just take a calm moment to smile and laugh it off with the staff, then go explore the park nearby.
so there’s no gig, and it’s a snowstorm. so you have no booth, and there’s now snow in your ankle/no-show socks. so you’ve no real plan for the rest of the day, the rest of the week, the rest of the month, year, life…
…take a walk, take a stair-climb, take a breath of that sweet sweet fresh air, and then take some photos. because hey, it could be so much worse!
 good times, weird day.
what did you end up doing yesterday?
