" a palpable magic "

when you have been given access to realms unknown, it behooves you to just take one moment to be still and behold.

it can be a place. like walking into a cathedral in the afternoon, the sunlight streaming in through the filter of massive stained glass panels. or walking into a stadium with thousands and thousands of people writhing in their seats cheering and filling up space.

or looking out from the edge of a massive canyon; the sheer size overshadowing you entirely, and you reset the scale of the world. or slipping beneath the surface of the ocean while waves of saltwater flow over and swirl around you; such a feeling of bliss and contentment to be held aloft and afloat by the sea.

people are like that too. you can find yourself in the presence of someone very special, and they fill you with awe, wonderment, a sense of love you've never known, and a flavor of beauty which you've never experienced.

when you have the opportunity to peer behind the green curtain, to cross over the threshold, so enter a world unseen previous, make the time to be thankful, respectful, and open your heart to it all. a vision and experience such as that is a rare and lovely thing, and the resonance of which rarely loses its power.

" the fantastic voyage "

just bold unabashed joy and gleeful adventures from now on. you are greatness with grace, elegance in chaos, poetry in motion, beautifully free.

other revel in your presence and find comfort in your clutches. brave souls beware the magnetism of a fabric this exquisite.

tonight's homework:

no fears, no qualms, nothing less than a pure contentment of Self.

short visits from old friends, the ones which also helped to define you.

it's important to take note of those handful of other human beings who have challenged you, set you on a path proper, changed your way of looking & thinking about something, and always had your best intentions in heart.

these are the anchors in your life. these are the touchstones and the ones you can always count on. find these gems in the world, and it makes being a person on the mantle that much less lonely.

neither distance of geography or length of time will weaken the bond. big ups to you friend, best of luck in all things, and sending positive vibes your way.

" feel everything at all times "

she resides completely in the present moment, head knocked left a touch, and her eyes flutter for a second before resting still and glistening.

with each breath inward, there is the expanding memory of the entire universe known and recycled. with each metered exhale, the balance is restored, and the body remains calm and at rest. joys, exuberance, well-being, nostalgia, intimacy, memory, beauty, youth, and vitality.

there amidst the afternoon, overcast in all of its swirling gray whispers passing through, the relative stillness of the day has time to reflect upon itself. in the distance there are the sounds of cars driving by, children laughing, potholes being discovered by the large tires of delivery trucks, birds at play, airplanes overhead, and the cacophony resounds.

just a shared moment with such delight, with such a private relish, it is as if no one has ever felt this way before. the end of the afternoon leading into the evening, and all is well and right in the world.

simple things always make me happy. it is in the simplicity of them where i find the most experiential satisfaction, the most visual pleasure, and the most repeatable enjoyment.
delicate dappled window light on a rainy overcast day. no makeup clear complexion calm, being yourself in a new situation.
holding eye contact for more than a glimpse on the street, public transportation, or public space.
refreshing honey hibiscus tea lemonade with just a bit of ice chips.
stretching long and tall into a wind at the water’s edge.
eating messy burgers with two hands.
picking the slender bones out of steamed fish with lemongrass.
sighing in the morning long and true right before getting up.
laughing with friends about the dumbest jokes.
endless, just endless beauty in a simple action, design, experience, situation. we are all masters-in-training and in the meantime, i believe allowing yourself the space to explore, not only releases the anxiety and confusion of attempting to know all things about all things, but creates a living & breathing lifestyle which adapts and shifts positively & accordingly.
sometimes all you need to do is be present, and let the world present its splendor before you as it slowly passes by.

here’s to never fleeing from something, but always running towards something. to finding strange moments within the travel, to riding trains to far destinations, to walking the distance.

you’re always present with yourself, so what does it matter if your feet want to go left or right? eventually you may have the option to choose both, or an entirely different set of options. if time is short, of course you must choose. but what if your weekend is open and free for the scheduling of your choosing?

what elation and opportunity! what raw and unbridled emptiness could be filled to the brim with unknown discoveries! plural!

i’m always moving never stopping, so you be too, and maybe our paths will parallel. and maybe they will cross and tangent into other tributaries. but we’ll have had the great pleasure to have witnessed each other, adventuring in the world, smiling wide with teeth exposed reeling with a sense of such completeness.
