you’re leaning on a back railing on your fire escape. your great friend and collaborator is giving you gilded daggers out from her eyes, and for some reason, that’s exactly what you were looking for.
the winds are soft and temperate, and it’s the first day of winter. your shot is made, and she climbs back through the kitchen window. and then you follow, daggers still intact.
everything is great, and saturday has begun to come together nicely.

returning back to the apartment after a weekend away.
in your absence, the world grew colder and began to snow. the streets wept, the sound of laughter left the city, and all around was swirling hollow winds through the empty blocks.
now, waiting for the tea kettle to whistle, i can see why we always work so well together, and why tomorrow is arriving much too soon for my taste.

  • you’re sleeping
  • you’re not sleeping after i make you get up
  • you’re crabby about that
  • it’s too early!!!
  • you can sleep in and i have to go to work
  • hahahahah creativity

despite the fact that i didn’t let her sleep, i think we did very well.

so thank you so much. please enjoy going back to sleep.

and maybe it is a happy accident (maybe).

i suppose this is why we don’t drop our cameras on the floor.

single exposure, came out with two shots, in turn wasting a shot. on the left, the original after 4 minutes. on the right, the same shot after 15. the other shot, discarded & unusable.

although still alluring, albeit in a strangely unintentional way, i’m left with the feeling that i may have damaged the camera

perhaps this is what the sense of experimentation looks like & is all about.
