so when you find a $3 thriftstore polaroid 600 cam and load it with $23.46 8-count B/W film, sometimes it just turns out like this.

here’s to experimentation, risk-taking, troubleshooting, laying it on the line, having an opinion, and making time to actively fail.

because eventually, you’ll make gold brick dream matter manifest.

just maybe not today.

and maybe it is a happy accident (maybe).

i suppose this is why we don’t drop our cameras on the floor.

single exposure, came out with two shots, in turn wasting a shot. on the left, the original after 4 minutes. on the right, the same shot after 15. the other shot, discarded & unusable.

although still alluring, albeit in a strangely unintentional way, i’m left with the feeling that i may have damaged the camera

perhaps this is what the sense of experimentation looks like & is all about.

UPDATE / 12.10.13

the image keeps on changing due to chemistry packet bursting all nutty in the frame. i hope that every day or so, it keeps evolving.

finally futzing around with this blackframe’d impossible film 600 shiz .
really digging the look, and hopefully i can figure out the best way to use it before i run out.
i understand the nigh-prohibitive cost, and hesitate to fall more head-over-heels with it, but damn is it sultry and seductive.
 to creativity & shared experiences!

although this shot was taken with the impossible project film, i still very much love the FP-3000B packfilm from fuji .
if you’re still interested in helping to show fujifilm how much you love their only remaining (and recently discontinued!!) b/w instant film, please peep out the FB page, and share/sign this petition !
if anyone is in the nyc/bklyn area, and would like to barter photo/lightroom/photoshop lessons for some of the remaining stock of this film , i would not be against that as an idea.
