" steps of dream fulfilment "

---

in short, if you have a passion, a dream, some know-how, conviction, confidence, strength & content of character, gumption, traction, elbow grease, time, friends, family, support in any way, some capital or a way of fundraising some ole cash money, and a plan...you can make ity happen

there is nearly no reason why you couldn't succeed in the creation or implementation of one of your great interests or expression. it is entirely possible, and although procrastination feels great at the time, it yields more regret than any other significant byproduct.

in short, get on it, and do it up. the world is eagerly awaiting your everything.

tonight's homework:

send big ups to new filmmaker kristine stolakis on her recent screening at nyc's own anthology film archives.

after the initial song begins, it's all just beauty entered and enveloped. just a unified sonic tide ebbing and receding throughout, permeating the nervous system.

allowing yourself entrance into all of those feelings, and experiencing the sensations of being able to let go. i never leave a great concert unaffected.

blinding lights and buzzing lusciousness. all the senses piqued and stretched. all the sound and depth entering my body through the skin and traveling down past the bones and into the marrow.

watching l’elisir d’amore with moms who is visiting.
hushed whispers in the velvet & gilded opera house. all eyes sparkle in the shadows, and you can hear the murmur of the orchestra tune and whine.
such a palace of nostalgia, a touchstone for beauty, vocal dynamism, love explored, comedic passages, aching, pining, passions flared, humble faces shied from true feelings. it harbors them all.
dark desires and lilting promises made at the height of amorous confession. if these tales and performances of them do not leave you with a state of romantic despair or blissful hope, i’m not sure we will ever understand one another.
but i’m willing to give it a go if you are.
